Since the full-scale invasion by Russia began over two years ago, Ukraine has relied extensively on arms from Western allies to counter Russian forces. In a significant development, US President Joe Biden recently authorized Kyiv to use American munitions for limited strikes within Russian territory, following similar actions by several European nations that lifted restrictions on their supplied weapons.
Putin further cautioned that Russia might retaliate if it perceives Western countries as becoming directly involved in the Ukraine conflict.
