Renowned gospel singer Eunice Njeri recently shared her testimony of survival and faith, revealing how a near-death experience reshaped her spiritual journey. Speaking in a media interview on Pearl Radio’s YouTube channel, Njeri recounted her battle with illness, spiritual warfare, and her renewed dedication to ministry.
The Nimekubali hitmaker opened up about a severe illness that saw her hospitalized and fighting for her life. During this period, she experienced a spiritual awakening that solidified her faith. She recalled how her mother’s advice to stay conscious and alert helped her hold on to hope.
“I’ve been in hospital a lot, so I know what radio means for someone in a hospital. I heard it, not just with my ears, but with my spirit,” she shared.
Njeri recounted how she refused to let a specific man pray for her after realizing that everyone he prayed for in the hospital had passed away. Instead, she took matters into her own hands.
“I knelt down and prayed, ‘God, if you get me out of this hospital, I will serve you for the rest of my life,’” she said. This marked a turning point in her faith and ministry, leading to a deeper commitment to gospel music and evangelism.
Beyond her health struggles, Njeri revealed that she had also faced intense spiritual battles in her music career. She admitted that at one point, despite still singing, she had “slept spiritually.”
“I was singing, yes, but I had slept ya kiroho (spiritually). That’s when I experienced the worst attacks in my life,” she revealed, urging believers to remain vigilant in prayer.
To overcome these challenges, she called on intercessors to stand with her in prayer, acknowledging the battles she faced in both the physical and spiritual realms.
Despite the struggles, Njeri remains steadfast in her faith and ministry. She is currently preparing for her upcoming event, Huru Live Recording, scheduled for February 7, 2025, from 4 PM to 10 PM.
“Come, let’s raise a new sound of praise and worship to our God. A TIME IS COMING AND NOW IS… Bring your dancing shoes na kakitambaa,” she announced.
Reflecting on her journey, Njeri expressed confidence in ultimate victory.
“In the end, we win. There is no turning back. Mungu anatutuita sisi tuamke na tukubali Roho Mtakatifu aombe ndani yetu,” she declared, encouraging believers to embrace prayer and stand firm in faith.
