Kenya Power Announces Planned Power Interruptions in Nine Counties

The Kenya Power & Lighting Company Limited (Kenya Power) has announced scheduled power interruptions for Wednesday, May 29, affecting several areas across nine counties. The planned outages will take place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a period of eight hours, to facilitate essential system maintenance.

In a public notice issued on Tuesday evening, Kenya Power stated that the affected counties include West Pokot, Kisumu, Migori, Nyamira, Nyeri, Laikipia, Kiambu, Kitui, and Mombasa. The notice emphasized the importance of these periodic interruptions, noting that they are necessary to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the power supply network.
