The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has initiated the “Abiria ni Mayai” campaign, aimed at raising awareness among boda boda riders about their responsibility in ensuring the safety of their passengers and other road users.
NTSA Director General, George Njao, announced the campaign, emphasizing the crucial role boda boda operators play in promoting road safety. The campaign’s slogan, “Abiria ni Mayai” (Passengers are like Eggs), serves as a reminder to riders to handle their passengers with care and prioritize safety at all times.
Through this initiative, NTSA aims to reduce road accidents involving boda boda motorcycles and improve overall road safety standards in the country. The campaign will involve education and outreach programs targeting boda boda riders across various regions, highlighting the importance of responsible riding and adherence to traffic rules and regulations.
