Apology from Pope Francis Regarding Use of Homophobic Slur

I deeply regret and apologize for the hurt caused by my recent use of a homophobic slur. As a spiritual leader, it is my duty to uphold the values of compassion, respect, and dignity for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or identity.

My words were inappropriate and do not reflect the inclusive and accepting message that I strive to promote within the Catholic Church. I understand the pain and harm that such language can inflict, and I am truly sorry for any offense I have caused.
