Ariana Grande is celebrating a major milestone in her journey toward self-acceptance four years without Botox or fillers. The 31-year-old pop icon and actress, known for her remarkable vocal range, recently shared her decision to embrace her natural beauty, allowing her age and life experiences to shine through in her facial features.
In a candid interview with Entertainment Tonight, Grande spoke about how ditching injectables has given her a clearer appreciation of her natural features. “I’m still clean! I’m still clean!” she exclaimed after being asked about her past comments on the matter. Grande’s openness on the subject is personal, not meant as a criticism of others who choose cosmetic enhancements. She emphasized that her decision to stop using Botox was a journey of self-acceptance, one that allowed her to proudly show her smile lines and laugh lines.
Ariana also humorously acknowledged her past use of injectables, joking that Botox and Juvederm were her “two friends” during her acceptance speech for the Rising Star award at the Palm Springs Film Festival in January. Reflecting on her long career, she quipped, “I’ve been performing since I was a child, so I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words ‘rising star’ again.”
As a beauty entrepreneur, having launched R.E.M. Beauty in 2021, Ariana has been transparent about her beauty routine. She explained that beauty, for a long time, was about “hiding” for her, but now she embraces the natural signs of aging. “I want to see my well-earned cry lines and smile lines,” she revealed.
Despite no longer using Botox, Grande has nothing but admiration for the treatment. “I love it, and I support it,” she said, before playfully promising her fans that if she ever returns to injectables, they’ll be the first to know.
