The methamphetamine, valued at Ksh 9.2 million based on street estimates, was intercepted thanks to a tip-off to Anti-Narcotics detectives stationed at JKIA. The intelligence prompted a thorough search within the warehouse at the Mitchell Cott Shed, leading to the discovery.
