Autopsy Reveals Kware Killings Not Linked to Protests

Recent findings have established that the victims of the Kware killings in Nairobi were not involved in anti-government protests. Chief government pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor announced on Thursday that preliminary autopsy results showed no gunshot wounds on the 10 bodies found in a quarry in Kware, Mukuru Kwa Njenga.

This revelation contradicts earlier speculations of extra-judicial killings linked to recent anti-government demonstrations. Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura addressed the matter during a press conference on the demonstrations, which have been banned due to criminal activities resulting in widespread looting and property destruction.

Mwaura clarified that the Kware killings were instances of femicide, not politically motivated killings or abductions. “According to police, 10 bodies were found in Kware Mukuru kwa Njenga. These deaths are linked to femicide, not political killings or the result of abductions,” he stated.

The prime suspect in the gruesome murders, Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, 33, has been arrested. Khalusha confessed to killing 42 women since 2022 and dumping their dismembered bodies in the quarry.

Mwaura also emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the demands of the youth. “As a government, we make a passionate appeal to our country folk of Generation Z to reconsider their plans to uphold the demonstrations, which have since been infiltrated by goons whose aim is to destabilize the country’s peace. The President and the Government at large have heard you loud and clear, and we are ready to act on your concerns,” he assured.

Mwaura reiterated the President’s dedication to continuous engagement with the youth to address their demands. He appealed to the youth to reconsider their plans for demonstrations, noting that their concerns are being addressed, and the protests have been compromised by criminal elements. “We appeal to our youth to reconsider their plans to hold the demonstration since that which they were clamouring for has been adhered to, and goons have infiltrated to destabilize the country’s peace and prosperity,” he urged.

The recent developments highlight the government’s responsiveness to the demands of the youth and its efforts to maintain peace and stability in the country. The Kware killings, now confirmed as femicide cases, underscore the urgent need for addressing gender-based violence and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
