Bomachoge Borabu Member of Parliament (MP) Obadiah Barongo has renewed his call for the completion of stalled development projects in his constituency, highlighting the urgency of delivering tangible progress to residents. Barongo raised these concerns during a visit with President William Ruto to Bomet and Narok Counties on Sunday.
The MP joined the President at a church service in Bomet County, after which they proceeded to the President’s Narok residence. In a show of diplomatic goodwill, they extended best wishes to Raila Odinga, who is vying for the African Union Commission (AUC) Chairmanship. This high-profile visit also included a meeting with Ghana’s President-elect, John Mahama, in Kilgoris, Narok County, adding an international dimension to the day’s events.
In his discussions with President Ruto, Barongo focused on stalled development projects in Bomachoge Borabu, underlining their negative impact on the community. From incomplete infrastructure to delayed public service facilities, these projects have hindered growth and strained the patience of constituents. Barongo urged the President to prioritize the allocation of resources and streamline bureaucratic processes to ensure swift resolution.
The MP further revealed plans for a presidential visit to Bomachoge Borabu in the new year, a move expected to draw attention to the region’s development priorities. Barongo assured his constituents that he is working tirelessly to ensure their concerns are heard at the highest levels of government.
Barongo expressed gratitude for President Ruto’s inclusive leadership, which he believes will address the unique challenges faced by Bomachoge Borabu. “The President’s willingness to engage with us and focus on stalled projects gives us renewed hope. The people of Bomachoge Borabu deserve progress, and I am committed to working with the government to deliver it,” he remarked.
The visit marked a blend of local, national, and international engagements, reflecting the multifaceted nature of governance. For Bomachoge Borabu, Barongo’s proactive stance signals a brighter future. Residents now await the President’s visit, hopeful that it will accelerate solutions to long-standing issues.
Barongo’s advocacy for development aligns with his broader vision for Bomachoge Borabu—a constituency where stalled projects become completed milestones, and collaboration between local and national leaders paves the way for sustainable growth.
