Chiki Defends Bien After His Celebrity Crush Confession Stirs Controversy

Digital content creator and choreographer Chiki Kuruka has come forward to defend her husband, Bien Baraza, after a video of him sharing his celebrity crushes went viral, sparking backlash from netizens.

In the viral clip, Bien, the acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer, named Nigerian artist Tems and Jamaican dancehall artist Shenseea as the female celebrities he finds most attractive. His candid remarks didn’t sit well with many online users, who deemed his comments disrespectful to his wife of three years.

Some of the comments included, “Welcome to Kenya where you find your perfect match while you’re already married,” “He doesn’t want to be kept, don’t keep him,” and “Men are embarrassing, aahh.”

Chiki, sharing the post on her Instagram stories, laughed off the criticism. “Do not blame him, 2 absolute queens!” she wrote, adding several laughing emojis. She dismissed the netizens’ outrage, saying, “Wueh some people take life too seriously.”

In an interview with Obinna TV, Bien humorously shared his admiration for multiple female celebrities. “I have dream women, many of them… just imagine if Tems DMs me, I’d have to talk to my wife. Even if it were you, and if Shenseea DMs me, she could hit and run…” he joked.

Despite the uproar, Chiki and Bien’s relationship remains strong, with Chiki encouraging people not to take social media too seriously.
