Condor Airlines Adjusts San Antonio to Frankfurt Flight Schedule for 2025

Condor Airlines’ inaugural nonstop flight from San Antonio to Frankfurt, launched just a month ago, is set to undergo schedule adjustments for the upcoming year. Initially offering three weekly flights throughout the summer, the service will now be scaled back to operate only on Mondays and Fridays starting next year. This change comes as Condor releases its 2025 timetable, which reflects a strategic shift in flight frequencies and days of operation.

The decision to reduce service days was confirmed by San Antonio officials, highlighting Condor’s efforts to optimize its new route amidst evolving travel patterns and operational considerations. Greater:SATX spokeswoman Jamie Bloodsworth Lutrell emphasized that such adjustments are common as airlines refine their service offerings based on passenger demand and operational efficiency.

For the 2025 season, Condor will maintain its connections between San Antonio and Frankfurt alongside 17 other North American cities, albeit with revised scheduling strategies. Cities like Boston and Vancouver are slated to see increased flight frequencies, underscoring Condor’s ongoing evaluation of market dynamics and passenger preferences.

While initial sales data indicated strong outbound demand from San Antonio, inbound flights from Frankfurt to San Antonio have shown lower seat occupancy. Despite these early challenges, Visit San Antonio has launched promotional efforts in Germany to boost awareness and attract European travelers to the Alamo City.

The two-year agreement between Condor and the City of San Antonio includes significant incentives aimed at supporting and promoting the route, including airport fee waivers and targeted marketing campaigns. These incentives reflect the city’s commitment to fostering international air connectivity and positioning San Antonio as a global destination.

Looking ahead, city officials express optimism about Condor’s continued service and its potential to expand European travel options for South Texans. Jesus Saenz, director of airports for San Antonio, affirmed the city’s dedication to nurturing this partnership and enhancing access to Europe for local residents and visitors alike.

As discussions for the 2026 season commence, stakeholders remain hopeful that ongoing efforts will further solidify San Antonio’s status as a key player in transatlantic air travel.
