Kenya Airways has partnered with London Metropolitan University to offer globally accredited aviation courses. The agreement was officiated by Cabinet Secretary for Education, Julius Migos Ogamba, at the Pride Centre in Nairobi.
The partnership aims to provide affordable, world-class training opportunities that will equip graduates with specialized competencies essential for excelling in the global aerospace industry. Speaking during the launch, CS Ogamba emphasized the strategic importance of the collaboration in enhancing Kenya’s competitiveness in aviation training.
“This partnership marks a significant milestone in Kenya’s aviation sector, addressing the skills gap and strengthening our ability to compete in the global aerospace economy,” stated Ogamba.
He reiterated that the initiative would play a crucial role in bridging the current skills gap in Kenya’s aviation industry while offering aspiring professionals a chance to obtain globally recognized qualifications. The collaboration will benefit both Kenya Airways employees and the broader public, enhancing employability prospects in the highly competitive aviation job market.
Kenya Airways CEO, Allan Kilavuka, led invited guests on a tour of the Pride Centre’s state-of-the-art training facilities. The Cabinet Secretary expressed his admiration for the advanced learning infrastructure, highlighting its importance in elevating aviation training standards in Kenya and the region.
