The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has set up 63 placement support centers across 47 counties to guide applicants for degree, Technical and Vocational Training (TVET), and Training and Technical Trainer College (TTC) programs. This initiative aims to offer support as the placement portal for the September 2025 intake officially opens.
KUCCPS CEO Mercy Wahome emphasized that the centers would be manned by trained officers who will assist applicants with their choices and provide guidance on the placement process. These centers are strategically located in various educational institutions to ensure accessibility to all applicants, including those from remote areas.
In the Western and Nyanza regions, applicants can visit Alupe University in Busia, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in Siaya, and Kaimosi Friends University in Vihiga, among others. In Kisumu, Maseno University will serve as a support center, while in Kakamega, Masinde Muliro University and Shamberere Technical Training Institute are among the available locations.
The Central region will have centers at Dedan Kimathi University in Nyeri and Murang’a Technical Training Institute, with other centers spread across Kiambu, Nyandarua, and Kirinyaga counties. Nairobi residents can visit the Karen Institute for the Deaf for placement support, ensuring access to services in the capital city.
The Rift Valley region has numerous support centers, including Baringo National Polytechnic, Kabianga University, and Egerton University in Nakuru. Applicants from Trans Nzoia, Elgeyo Marakwet, and other counties in the region will also find centers offering assistance.
Applicants from the Northeastern and Eastern regions can visit institutions like Chuka University and Garissa University, while those in coastal areas can find support at Pwani University and the Technical University of Mombasa.
For additional help, the 58 Huduma centers and KUCCPS offices in Nairobi will also provide application assistance. The application period runs from April 2 to 13, 2025.
