Kenyan content creator and media personality Azziad Nasenya has finally broken her silence following swirling allegations about her financial struggles. In the midst of the online storm, she has chosen to spread a message of resilience and hope.
In a recent Instagram story, Azziad shared an uplifting message, seemingly aimed at reassuring both herself and her followers. Basking in the sun, she reflected on life’s inevitable challenges and emphasized the importance of staying hopeful:
“Can you see the sun, how bright it is? Today is a beautiful day. You know, that’s just how life is; it’s gonna be dark, stormy, but at the end of the day, the light will shine, and the good things will take course.”
Later that night, she documented her return to the gym after a five-day hiatus, highlighting her determination to stay active despite the controversies. Her caption, “Walking 40 minutes to the gym ain’t a joke. But it’s therapeutic. A win is a win,” echoed her earlier sentiments of perseverance.
Azziad’s positive messages come in the wake of allegations regarding unpaid debts. Popular blogger Edgar Obare claimed that Azziad borrowed KSh 400,000 from a close friend, promising to repay it within three days, but the debt allegedly remained unsettled months later. Obare also leaked purported voice recordings of a distressed individual allegedly Azziad discussing financial difficulties.
In addition, TikToker Mary Musyoka accused Azziad of owing her KSh 300,000, further fueling speculation and debate over the influencer’s financial standing.
Azziad’s manager, Peter Kawa, addressed the controversy in an interview with Ankali Ray in late January 2025. He neither confirmed nor denied the claims but reassured fans of Azziad’s well-being:
“She is okay and with her mum in Germany. I cannot confirm or deny anything about the claims circulating online. Whoever wants to speak can speak.”
Azziad Nasenya first rose to fame in 2019 after her TikTok dance to Utawezana by Femi One and Mejja went viral. Since then, she has built a successful career in media, content creation, and brand endorsements.
