Political activist Bob Njagi has made a shocking revelation regarding the disappearance of Wajir MCA Yussuf Hussein Ahmed, claiming that he saw the missing politician while he was being held captive during his own 32-day abduction in August 2024.
In an emotional interview with Citizen TV, Njagi described how, while being held in a room next to where Ahmed was reportedly confined, he was able to catch a glimpse of the missing MCA. “I had the opportunity of peeping through the keyhole and I saw him,” Njagi recounted. He specifically remembered the date of September 13, 2024, when he allegedly saw Ahmed. Njagi had been meticulously tracking the days of his own captivity, which led him to realize that the MCA had been brought to their location on the same day Ahmed had been abducted.
The activist added that his suspicions were confirmed when he later learned that a man fitting Ahmed’s description had been abducted from Enterprise Road in Nairobi on the same night. The disappearance of the Della Anole Ward MCA has been shrouded in mystery ever since, with conflicting reports about his fate. A month after his disappearance, a mutilated body believed to be Ahmed’s was found in Lake Yahud. However, independent DNA tests disproved this claim, leaving the true whereabouts of the MCA unknown.
Njagi’s account suggests that Ahmed was alive and in the hands of their abductors at the time of his release. His revelation adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing investigation into Ahmed’s disappearance, as the circumstances surrounding his abduction remain unclear. The taxi driver who was transporting Ahmed during the incident reported that armed men in unmarked vehicles intercepted the cab and forcibly removed the MCA.
Njagi also took the opportunity to address one of his alleged captors, known only as “Chairman,” warning him about his future actions. Despite the trauma of his own ordeal, Njagi and his political movement, the Free Kenya Movement, remain resolute in their pursuit of justice and good governance.
“We are organizing as an alternative leadership to take over this country,” Njagi declared, referring to their goal of replacing President William Ruto’s government in the 2027 elections. His message has sparked a wave of reactions, ranging from skepticism to calls for justice and accountability in the ongoing case.
The fate of MCA Yussuf Hussein Ahmed remains uncertain, but Njagi’s harrowing story and the public’s response to his claims highlight the continued need for transparency and action in the fight for justice.
