Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz has once again found himself at the center of a cheating controversy after an alleged mistress, identified as Rita, leaked private photos and videos of their past relationship online. The scandal has dominated social media discussions for the past 24 hours, forcing Diamond to address the allegations.
In an official statement, the WCB President admitted to having been involved with the woman in question but clarified that their relationship ended in 2023. According to Diamond, Rita is now using the old clips as leverage to blackmail him for money.
“I have seen clips circulating online that involve me. These are old clips from 2023, and I broke up with the woman nearly two years ago. I have already explained everything to my partner, and we have moved on. However, the woman is now using these clips, along with false messages, to blackmail me for financial gain. The matter has been reported to the authorities, and legal steps are being taken,” Diamond stated.
He reassured fans that his current partner, singer Zuchu, was fully aware of the situation and had forgiven him. Diamond also accused Rita of fabricating messages to support her claims, emphasizing that he would not bow to her alleged extortion attempts.
Rita, however, refuted Diamond’s version of events. She insisted that their relationship only ended in November 2024, contradicting his claim that they parted ways in 2023. According to her, Diamond’s assertion was an attempt to downplay the situation.
“I was the one who ended things because I realized he wasn’t serious about our relationship. The claim that we broke up in 2023 is false. That was the year Zuchu discovered our affair,” Rita stated.
She further alleged that the messages in question were merely her asking for house rent that Diamond had previously promised but failed to pay. Additionally, she claimed that he was unfaithful even during their time together in South Africa, seeing other women while they were still involved.
