Diana Marua recently opened up during an interview at the launch of a new betting company co-founded by her and her husband, Kelvin Bahati. The conversation, which took place with Kalondu Musyimi, revealed a lighter and more candid side of the renowned rapper and content creator. Throughout a quick-fire round of questions, Diana shared insights into her personal life, some of which surprised her fans.
The interview kicked off with a fun question: “When was the last time you cried?” Diana, who had recently gone viral for an emotional Valentine’s Day moment after receiving a lavish gift from her husband, smiled and responded, “Today, like 30 minutes ago. I was tearing up just thinking about how far we’ve come, how all of this is coming to life.” She added with a laugh, “I guess my talent is crying.”
The conversation continued with more personal questions, including one about Diana’s experience with lying. “When was the last time you lied?” Kalondu asked. Diana responded with a chuckle, “I think it was just a few minutes ago. I lie to myself sometimes, but then I come back and admit it. I guess I’m not perfect!”
When the discussion turned to Diana’s early career, she shared a glimpse of her humble beginnings. “I worked as an M-Pesa agent, earning KSh 8,000 a month,” she revealed. Her story served as a reminder of how far she has come in her career.
As the conversation grew more personal, Kalondu asked Diana about her relationship with her husband. “Who is your best friend?” she asked. Without hesitation, Diana responded, “Bahati.” The questions continued in a similar vein, with Kalondu asking who Diana calls and texts the most. Again, Diana answered, “Bahati,” emphasizing how central her husband is in her life.
The conversation then shifted to tattoos, referencing the fact that Bahati had recently gotten a tattoo of Diana’s image on his arm. Diana, with a smile, shared, “I don’t have any tattoos yet, but I might consider getting one of Bahati on me, just like he did.”
Music also came up during the rapid-fire round, with Kalondu asking about Diana’s favorite line from one of her songs, “Mtangoja Sana.” Diana briefly sang the lyric, “Waliosema mtaachana, sidanganyi, mtangojea sana,” and explained how the song’s lyrics resonate with her personal journey and experiences.
Finally, the conversation ended with a much-anticipated question: “When is your wedding?” Diana, glowing with excitement, responded, “It’s going to be on the 20th of October, 2025.” This announcement had fans eagerly looking forward to the big day, marking yet another exciting milestone in Diana’s life.
