Georgina Njenga recently opened up about her past relationship with Tyler Mbaya, popularly known as Baha, revealing some unexpected feelings about their breakup. She admitted that navigating the dating scene had been more difficult than she anticipated, leading to a small sense of regret over their separation.
She clarified that their split was not due to infidelity but rather concerns over certain behavioral traits in Baha that she feared could become toxic over time. Despite the challenges they faced, she acknowledged that their co-parenting relationship had significantly improved, largely due to her mother’s involvement in facilitating communication between them.
Speaking on a podcast, Georgina shared that while she mostly stands by her decision to leave, she sometimes questions whether she made the right choice. “To be honest, at some point, I regret leaving because the streets are cold, but the regret is like 2%. It was puppy love, and we were young,” she said.
However, she made it clear that there was no possibility of them rekindling their relationship. “We had a lot of issues, and even if we tried getting back together, it wouldn’t work out. That’s my ex,” she stated firmly.
Reflecting on the breakup, she admitted that there were aspects she might have handled differently. “We had fights, but looking back, maybe I would have approached some things in another way. I convinced myself that this was the best decision,” she shared. Despite the emotional toll, she emphasized that what hurt her the most was not the end of the romantic relationship but rather the impact on their family dynamic.
“The breaking of that family hurt me the most compared to the love. I kept asking myself: I grew up without a dad, and now my daughter will go through the same?” she added, highlighting her concerns about raising her child in a single-parent household.
Despite her reservations, she expressed relief that co-parenting had become more manageable. She credited her mother for playing a key role in ensuring smooth communication between her and Baha. This arrangement has minimized the need for frequent direct interaction between them, making the situation easier for everyone involved.
“We are okay, and I can’t even complain,” she remarked, noting that their arrangement has been working well.
Once regarded as one of the most beloved young couples, Georgina and Baha captured the admiration of many before parting ways in 2023, just months after welcoming their daughter. While their romantic journey has come to an end, their shared commitment to co-parenting continues to shape their relationship.
