Gloria Kyallo, the younger sister of TV47’s Betty Kyallo, has officially confirmed her breakup with longtime boyfriend Ken Warui. The two, who had been together for more than three years, have now taken a rather unconventional approach to separation—co-parenting their pet dog.
During a Q&A session with her followers, a fan inquired about the status of her relationship with Ken. In response, Gloria affirmed the breakup but emphasized that their pet remains a shared responsibility.
“I answered this question before, it’s on my highlight even. Anyway, we do co-parent the dog, but since the dog belongs to him, I see links from time to time,” she stated.
Gloria and Ken’s romance began in university during their first semester. According to Gloria, their love story was unplanned but blossomed over time.
“I met him at university during the first semester. It must be cliché as he was also a fresher like me. He was a friend to my friend, and we liked each other, so I never saw it coming. Later on, they stopped talking, but I was still in touch with him,” she recalled.
However, like many young relationships, time brought changes. Gloria had previously expressed a relaxed stance on marriage, stating in a 2022 interview that she didn’t envision tying the knot before the age of 35.
“I am not getting married before 35, I am still young. I don’t want to think of being with someone right now. I am gonna be with Ken as long as I am happy; if happiness ends, I will leave,” she said at the time. It seems she lived by those words.
One of the most distinctive aspects of Gloria’s life is her deep attachment to her dogs, whom she refers to as her “babies.” She has even gone to the extent of hiring a nanny to ensure they receive the best care.
“I do so much to take care of my puppies… like at the moment, they are at home with the nanny. Yes, I got them a nanny because they are my babies, and they need someone to take care of them,” she shared.
Her love for her pets extends beyond words, as she revealed she spends at least Ksh500 daily to ensure they are well cared for.
As Gloria moves on from her relationship with Ken Warui, she remains steadfast in her independence, love for her dogs, and focus on a future defined by her own terms.
