Haji Manara has recently split from his third wife, Zaiylissa, just a year after they tied the knot. The socialite and actress took to social media to announce their breakup, accusing Manara of being a womanizer and constantly threatening to expose their private conversations to Tanzanian blogger Mange Kimambi. Zaiylissa went further by leaking WhatsApp chats between them, in which Manara allegedly threatened her.
Manara, a well-known figure in Tanzania, had been in multiple relationships that did not last, and his marriage to Zaiylissa marked his third attempt at polygamy. The two got married in January 2024, following a brief courtship. The couple had previously showcased a seemingly perfect relationship, serving as a symbol of couple goals before their sudden separation.
Before marrying Zaiylissa, Manara had been married to his second wife, Rushaynah, in 2022. However, that relationship ended in 2023. In 2024, after his marriage to Rushaynah failed, Manara turned his attention to Zaiylissa, whom he had started dating after parting ways with singer Dulla Makabila.
Zaiylissa’s social media post marked the end of a tumultuous relationship that had been marked by struggles. In her leaked WhatsApp messages, she denied claims of mistreating Manara’s child and shared private conversations between them. One of the messages revealed her frustration with the relationship, where she accused Manara of blocking her after responding to her concerns and mentioned that she had left him weeks ago, despite him seemingly forgetting about it.
In some of the exchanges, Manara appeared to mock her, claiming she came to him with nothing and had no possessions to offer him. He stated that she was wearing cheap clothes, didn’t have a passport, and even criticized her for insulting him despite his efforts to help her. One of the messages also mentioned how he had taken her child out of a local school and enrolled them in a better institution.
Manara’s polygamous lifestyle has often been a topic of public interest, and his marriage to Zaiylissa followed a similar pattern to his previous relationships. In 2022, after marrying Rushaynah, he bought his first wife, Rubyana, a car, as a gesture to support her during a tough period. Despite the difficulties in his first marriage, Manara explained that as a Muslim, Rubyana accepted his polygamous relationships as part of their faith.
Manara has openly discussed how his two wives made him feel like a king, despite the complexities of managing multiple marriages. His personal life has continued to attract attention, with his marriages and relationships often making headlines in the Tanzanian media.
