Tanzanian socialite and entrepreneur Hamisa Mobetto has officially changed her name to reflect her new marital status, just days after her wedding to professional footballer Stephane Aziz Ki. The mother of two confirmed the change by posting a stunning picture with the caption “Hamisa Binti Hassan Mrs Aziz,” solidifying her union with the Yanga FC midfielder.
Aziz Ki, 28, is a professional footballer of Ivorian and Burkinabe descent who has played for Burkina Faso’s national team since making his debut in 2017. The couple celebrated their love in a series of elaborate ceremonies, which began with Aziz paying dowry on February 15. In keeping with African traditions, he gifted Hamisa’s family 30 cows and a sum of 30 million Tanzanian shillings.
On February 16, their Nikah ceremony was held at Nnuur Mosque in Mbweni, Dar es Salaam. The event was officiated by the Grand Sheikh of Dar es Salaam, Sheikh Walid Alhad Omar, alongside other respected Islamic clerics.
