Tanzanian singer Harmonize has spoken out about accusations circulating online that his father used witchcraft against Diamond Platnumz’s WCB Wasafi label after Harmonize’s departure from the group.
The Konde Gang founder shared his deep disappointment over the rumors, making it clear that his father is a devout man who would never engage in practices meant to harm others. According to Harmonize, his father was actually one of the people most emotionally affected by his decision to leave WCB, given the strong bond he had developed with Diamond Platnumz. Harmonize explained that his father had always seen both him and Diamond as his own sons, and their relationship was built on a deep sense of family and brotherhood.
Reflecting on the situation, Harmonize recalled the close ties they all shared while living and working together. He emphasized that it was heartbreaking for his father to hear people suggest that he would resort to witchcraft to hurt someone he cared for like family.
Harmonize also dismissed the idea that he would ever turn to spiritual interference or dark practices to cause harm. To illustrate his point, he spoke about a mosque he is constructing in his home village, highlighting that the first financial contribution for the project came from Diamond Platnumz himself. Harmonize questioned how anyone could believe that he or his family would wish harm upon a man who had helped fund such a meaningful and spiritual endeavor.
He described the bond he once shared with Diamond as being similar to his current relationship with Ibraah, another artist under his mentorship. The connection was so strong that their separation seemed unthinkable to those around them. Harmonize noted that the rumors likely stemmed from confusion and disbelief within their community, as people struggled to understand how such close friends could suddenly drift apart.
While clearly wounded by the accusations, Harmonize chose to take a compassionate view towards those who started the rumors. Instead of responding with anger, he suggested that the speculation was born out of surprise and a lack of understanding about the true reasons behind his departure from WCB.
