Ugandan music legend Jose Chameleone is currently in the United States receiving medical treatment after being rushed to the hospital again, just weeks after his previous discharge. However, while the singer battles health issues, his personal life has taken a dramatic turn as his son, Abba Marcus, has publicly condemned his father’s actions, shedding light on the alleged domestic violence that led to the separation of Chameleone and his ex-wife, Daniella Atim.
Marcus took to social media in a passionate outburst, calling out his father and refusing to remain silent about what he described as years of mistreatment. He criticized Chameleone’s decision to go live on TikTok after being hospitalized instead of communicating with his children.
“I have one of the worst fathers in the history of the world. He was rushed to the hospital, and the first thing he did instead of communicating to his kids was run to TikTok live. What a sorry excuse for a father,” Marcus wrote.
He further expressed his frustration, warning that if anyone tried to portray him as merely an angry teenager throwing a tantrum, he would reveal even more damaging details about his father.
Chameleone’s ex-wife, Daniella Atim, publicly supported her son’s decision to speak out, praising his bravery.
“Dear son, mama is proud of you for overcoming your fears, shame, and guilt. Mama is proud of you for coming face to face with your deepest wounds and pain. Abusers and societies condition us to accept silence, claiming it’s a noble character. They don’t like when you are outspoken and will label you with all types of titles for your courage,” she stated.
Atim further emphasized that they were no longer willing to sweep their family’s issues under the rug. “You didn’t deserve the things you went through. We failed you as your protectors. Don’t back down, share your story whichever way you like,” she urged.
Marcus also revealed in a Facebook post that his parents’ separation was due to domestic violence.
“My dad’s abuse and beating of my mom was a painful reality we lived with for far too long. It’s taken time, but we’re healing and moving forward,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Chameleone’s close friend Juliet Zawedde shared a video of the ailing singer being lifted from a couch into a wheelchair before being taken away in an ambulance. She expressed her support and prayers for his recovery.
The unfolding family drama has sparked widespread discussions, with many rallying behind Marcus and Atim for speaking out against abuse while others send prayers for Chameleone’s health and recovery.
