Raymond Onsabwa Omosa, popularly known as Kenyan Prince, recently opened up about his life, from his modest beginnings to his rise in the world of forex trading. Raised by his grandmother after the tragic loss of his mother, Omosa grew up in Kisii County and displayed academic excellence from an early age. He scored an impressive 432 marks in KCPE and later attained an A plain with 83 points in the KCSE, with mathematics being his favorite subject and English his least liked.
Although he had initially hoped to pursue medicine, financial constraints forced him to switch paths. He briefly studied Economics in college but eventually dropped out. His first professional experience was in content creation, which later led him to the world of forex trading—a decision that has significantly changed his life.
Despite dropping out of school, Omosa has built a name and lifestyle for himself that many would envy. He owns three luxury vehicles: an Audi, a convertible, and a Mercedes-Benz GLE 350D, which he bought for KSh 11.5 million. He considers the Mercedes not just a car, but a statement to his critics—a symbol of how far he has come. His dream is to one day cruise in an American muscle car, particularly a Corvette C8.
Living a flashy and fast-paced life, Omosa reportedly spent KSh 1.5 million on a recent vacation to Zanzibar. He also revealed that the largest amount of money he has ever handled was KSh 40 million in a single week. Still, he remains grounded in some ways, joking that while his net worth remains undisclosed, his Fuliza limit sits at KSh 48,000.
Despite his wealth and success, Omosa hasn’t been without challenges. He has been involved in four car accidents in a single month. Interestingly, he recalled a chilling comment made by an ex-girlfriend’s mother, who once said his cars would be his downfall. While he doesn’t claim any supernatural cause for the incidents, he admitted the coincidence was unsettling. Nevertheless, he chooses not to dwell on the speculation and remains focused on the future.
Public rumors have circulated, linking the accidents to supposed past wrongdoings or scams. Omosa has firmly denied such claims, stating that there is no truth to those allegations. The accidents have come at a financial cost as well; repairs to his rear-ended Mercedes alone set him back around KSh 1 million.
Despite sleeping just four hours a night, Omosa says he is at peace with himself and ready to face whatever the future holds. While he keeps some things private—such as his total net worth—he remains open about many aspects of his life. His story is one of resilience, ambition, and a strong belief in forging one’s path, regardless of the obstacles.
