Mary Biketi, the girlfriend of Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya, recently opened up about her role in blocking women who try to reach out to him. During an interview, she revealed that she has access to Oparanya’s phone and takes it upon herself to block women attempting to contact him. She clarified that while she doesn’t mind women from his past, her focus is on blocking any new women who try to woo him.
Biketi shared that she often encounters women who send inappropriate messages and photos in an attempt to seduce her partner. Some even send suggestive pictures, which, according to her, can be quite surprising. Despite these women being more attractive or possibly better educated, she steps in to prevent any new attempts at seduction. She emphasized that Oparanya has expressed his happiness with the women already in his life, including her, and has no interest in new romantic engagements.
She also touched on the dynamics of being involved in a polygamous relationship. Biketi mentioned that she has learned to respect the co-wives and children involved. Her own relationship with Oparanya began by chance, when they crossed paths at Wilson Airport while on a flight to Kisumu. At the time, she didn’t know who he was, but after sitting next to him, a strong connection was sparked between them.
Biketi confirmed that she is more than just his girlfriend and has visited her family’s home, though she prefers to keep the relationship details private out of respect for the other people involved.
In another story, Lydia Wanjiru, a content creator, revealed why she ended her relationship with her ex-partner, Frank Doso. She shared how she found out that he had cheated on her after receiving explicit photos of him with another woman. The woman threatened to expose these images unless Frank paid her KSh 8,000. After seeing the photos, Lydia decided to break up with him, opting for a quiet end to the relationship.
Lydia explained that she suspected Frank had been using her to gain social media followers, a feeling that intensified when he posted videos of himself regretting the breakup online, drawing attention to their troubled relationship. Although Frank apologized for his actions, Lydia had already moved on and no longer wished to continue their relationship.
Throughout the interview, Lydia encouraged women to always prioritize themselves and consider ending relationships that are not working. She also expressed that as long as there’s no formal commitment, such as paying dowry, women have every right to explore other options. She further criticized the common excuse that men are naturally polygamous, calling it an insufficient justification for infidelity.
Both women shared their personal experiences, offering insights into relationships marked by betrayal and the importance of setting boundaries and prioritizing one’s own well-being.
