Comedian Oga Obinna recently sparked online debate after walking out of a live radio interview when asked about his ongoing issues with fellow entertainer Mulamwah. The two have had a public back-and-forth, and it appears tensions reached a boiling point during the interview.
The controversy began when Obinna shared that he missed Mulamwah’s comedy show because he had been blocked and wasn’t invited. This led to Mulamwah responding by sharing a video clip from a past radio segment where Obinna and his former co-host, Dem wa Facebook, discussed Mulamwah’s child. In the video, Dem wa Facebook repeated what netizens were allegedly saying about the child’s appearance after Mulamwah revealed his face online. Obinna laughed during the segment, which didn’t sit well with Mulamwah, prompting him to block Obinna on social media.
As Obinna continues to promote his upcoming show, he made an appearance on Radio 47. However, the interview took an unexpected turn when the host brought up the beef with Mulamwah. The host suggested that Obinna often uses trending stories to gain attention, especially around other entertainers’ moments. This line of questioning clearly struck a nerve.
Obinna attempted to explain that he wasn’t the one speaking ill about Mulamwah or his child but was merely engaging in a discussion about what people were saying online. He expressed frustration over the topic, saying he didn’t want to discuss it further because anything he says gets twisted. He also pointed out that he felt the whole situation was being unfairly portrayed and accused Mulamwah of being a bully, referencing another public incident involving another personality.
Despite trying to steer the conversation elsewhere, the radio host persisted. At that point, Obinna decided enough was enough. He told the host he did not want to continue discussing the matter, called for his bodyguard Munez, and walked out of the studio mid-interview.
His actions triggered a wave of reactions online. Some social media users supported Obinna, saying everyone has the right to walk away from situations they find disrespectful. Others criticized him, suggesting he was being overly sensitive or unprofessional for abandoning the interview while live.
On the other hand, Mulamwah has been addressing claims that he doesn’t support other celebrities’ events. A TikToker had claimed his shows lacked the usual buzz due to strained relationships with others in the industry. In response, Mulamwah insisted that despite facing negativity since 2019, he’s still managing to succeed.
This latest exchange between the two comedians has only added fuel to the fire of their ongoing feud. Whether or not they will eventually resolve their differences remains to be seen, but for now, the tension continues to play out both online and in public appearances.
