Rama Oluoch, the former partner of popular YouTuber Shiko Nguru, has strongly refuted claims that he is a deadbeat father. He asserts that he financially supports their children despite allegations from Shiko that he has neglected his parental responsibilities. The accusations surfaced as Shiko claimed that she and her current husband, media personality Mike Mondo, have been solely shouldering the burden of raising the children.
In a candid interview with Oga Obinna, Rama addressed the ongoing legal dispute with Shiko, maintaining that he is following his lawyer’s guidance and allowing the courts to settle the matter. He emphasized that he needs clear confirmation of his children’s schooling before making direct payments for their education.
“I decided, you know what, I will leave it up to the courts,” Rama explained. “Even for me to pay, I need to know I am paying school fees for which school. My case is very complicated. You may find the kids are going to a different school.”
Furthermore, Rama countered claims of financial neglect by insisting that he has consistently sent money for their children’s needs. He even stated that he possesses receipts as proof of his contributions. “I have been sending money, and I have receipts,” he affirmed. “It is only that you cannot go online each time you are accused.”
However, Rama also admitted that he has not seen his children since February 2025, raising concerns about his involvement in their lives beyond financial support.
Shiko previously took to social media to express her frustrations, comparing Rama unfavorably to her first child’s father, whom she praised for being a responsible parent. The allegations have sparked a wave of mixed reactions online. While some social media users criticized Rama for prioritizing legal technicalities over his children’s well-being, others defended him, arguing that the full details of the co-parenting arrangement are not publicly known.
Shiko and Mike Mondo, who married privately in September 2024 after a year of dating, have maintained that their relationship began after attending a Boyz II Men concert. As the legal battle between Rama and Shiko unfolds, the public remains divided over who bears the greater responsibility in this contentious situation.
