Gospel singer Size 8 and her husband DJ Mo have spoken up about their recent wedding ceremony, which served as a renewal of their vows after a period of separation. The couple, who have been married for 11 years, rekindled their love and decided to rededicate their marriage to God, calling it an act of faith and restoration.
In their latest YouTube video on Thursday, March 6, 2025, Size 8 shared her sentiments on the significance of their vow renewal. She emphasized the power of words and how their separation had brought about negativity in their marriage. “Being apart for a few months, a lot is said, and the Bible says words have power. That time of separation, a lot of negativity was spoken by myself and my husband, so we wanted to start with positive words,” she explained.
The main motivation behind their decision to hold the ceremony was to reestablish their commitment and invite God’s presence into their marriage once again. “To renew vows and to re-dedicate this covenant, because marriage is a covenant, to God. Now we invite God in the middle and nullify every negative spoken word moving forward, embracing positivity,” Size 8 added.
Despite their joy, the couple acknowledged that planning the wedding was challenging. The process took only three weeks, making it difficult to accommodate all their friends and family. Size 8 admitted feeling overwhelmed, stating, “Already, me and Mo coming together again was enough for me. I was already happy and content.”
DJ Mo also addressed the confusion surrounding their guest list, explaining that their close friends and family helped with planning. However, some intended guests were not invited due to miscommunication. “It was more of family and friends, but again, we insist and say sorry. If you didn’t make it, we’ll plan something. It was confusion, but we still love you, usikose kutu invite yako,” he reassured.
The couple sincerely apologized for any misunderstandings and thanked everyone who supported them during their journey of healing and renewal. Their story serves as a testament to the power of faith, forgiveness, and the strength of love in overcoming challenges.
