Tanzanian socialite Ms. Ryta has once again sparked controversy after boldly declaring that she and Diamond Platnumz will only be separated by death. The statement, which she posted on Instagram before deleting, comes weeks after a heated social media spat between the two, with Ryta accusing the Bongo Flava star of mistreatment.
The drama between Diamond and Ryta dates back to 2023 when videos of them together surfaced online. The singer dismissed the clips as old, stating that he had long moved on and reconciled with his current girlfriend, Zuchu. He also accused Ryta of attempting to blackmail him by sharing the intimate footage.
“I have seen clips that involve me going viral. Those are old clips from 2023, two years ago. And I left that woman two years ago as well. I told my girlfriend about it, and we forgave each other and started afresh. This woman has decided to share the videos and fake messages to blackmail me and make money. This issue is being handled by the authorities,” Diamond stated.
However, Ryta refuted Diamond’s claims, insisting that their relationship ended in November 2024, not 2023. She alleged that the singer forced her to change her phone number to hide their affair from Zuchu. She also accused him of failing to pay her rent and emotionally manipulating her.
“In 2023, you asked me to change numbers to hide our relationship from your girlfriend. I left in November 2024 after you refused to pay rent, controlled my life, and played with my emotions. I never blackmailed you, but you mistreated me, and I’m hurt by how you treat me now,” Ryta said.
The controversy led to Diamond deleting a Valentine’s Day post dedicated to Zuchu, while Zuchu erased wedding photos of the two from Juma Jux’s nuptials.
Despite the heated fallout, Ryta’s latest declaration suggests that she and Diamond have rekindled their relationship. This unexpected twist leaves fans wondering whether the on-again, off-again romance will last or if another public spat is just around the corner.
