A woman has been sentenced to 25 years to life for the fatal shooting of a young woman who was found in the bed of her former romantic partner. The victim, a 19-year-old, was killed by the 24-year-old woman, who was convicted alongside her 30-year-old brother. The brother received a four-year sentence for being an accessory to the crime.

After the crime, the convicted woman reportedly admitted to her brother, “We killed someone,” though he initially believed she was joking.
