Field of Life Education Centre Primary School Integrates CBC with Engaging Outdoor Activities

Field of Life Education Centre Primary School has taken an innovative approach to the Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC) by organizing an outdoor learning event that brought together parents, teachers, and students. This event aimed to enhance student performance through practical, hands-on experiences.

Head teacher Allan Wabuti emphasized the importance of this fun day in aligning with the CBC system, which emphasizes community involvement in the learning process. Speaking to Education News, Wabuti explained that the event allowed parents to better understand and meet the demands of the CBC.

“The CBC system encourages an immersive approach to education. By involving parents in these activities, we help them become more familiar with the curriculum requirements, which is crucial in supporting their children’s educational journey,” Wabuti stated.

School director Shadrack Salange also attended the event, which aimed to strengthen the relationships between parents, teachers, and students. Wabuti noted that such interactions are vital for creating a supportive network around the learners, which can significantly enhance their academic and personal growth.
