Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in five counties on Friday to facilitate essential system maintenance. The affected counties include Nairobi, Kisii, Murang’a, Meru, and Taita Taveta, with outages expected to last from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in most areas.
Nairobi
Parts of Nairobi will experience power cuts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The affected areas include Nyangumi Road, Chaka Road, Lenana Road, Turbo Road, Rose Avenue, Jabavu Road, Kasuku Road, Makuyu Lane, and Theta Lane, along with adjacent customers.
Kisii
In Kisii County, power outages will occur between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM in areas such as Nyamaiya, Nyabera, Riagumo, Arura, Gesabakwa, Ekona, Suguta, Nyamondo ATC, Mogenda, Monianku Secondary School, Metaburo Secondary School, Muma Secondary School, Ochodororo Weighbridge, and Moticho.
Murang’a
Residents of Githambo Market, Kanyenyaini Market, Rwathia Secondary, Rwathia Market, Kiairathe Secondary, Kiairathe Market, and Kiawambogo Market in Murang’a County will face power disruption from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Meru
Parts of Meru County will experience outages between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Affected areas include Meru Water Supply, Start Times Network, Katheri, Githogo Town, Githogo Tea Factory, Chief Ikunyua, Kirongine, Patmos, Kathumbi, Kainginyo, Kianthumbi, Kithioro, Nthimbiri, Mworoga, Kithaku, Kanthuni, Kathiranga Secondary School, Muringa TBC, Meru Central Dairy Cooling Centre, Githongo Law Courts, Krugwa Girls, Kinjo Market, Hydro PSP, and surrounding customers.
Taita Taveta
Residents in Taita Taveta will face outages from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The affected areas include Jora, Bungule, Kasigau Girls School, Makwasinyi, and adjacent customers.
Kenya Power urges affected customers to prepare accordingly and apologizes for any inconvenience caused. Customers are advised to make prior arrangements to minimize disruptions to their daily activities.
