Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has scheduled power interruptions in several counties this Sunday, affecting various residential and commercial areas. The power cuts will take place between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, depending on the region.
Counties Affected Residents in Nairobi, West Pokot, Uasin Gishu, Machakos, Kisumu, Kakamega, Bungoma, Kiambu, and Kilifi will experience power disruptions. KPLC has provided a detailed breakdown of the affected areas and the expected outage durations.
Nairobi (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Residents of Mukuru, Kuguru Foods, Kuguru Loop, Bhachu Industries, Cold Storage Sonado, Softa, St. Mary’s Primary School, Bimji Ramji Quarry, and adjacent areas will be affected. Other impacted locations include Siaya Road, Siaya Close, Mandera Road, Gichugu Road, Kandara Road, Olekajuado Road, Emory Hotel, Kenya High, Dik Dik Gardens, parts of Oloitoktok Road, Gatundu Road, and Tinderet Avenue.
Machakos (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Stoni Athi, Cale Crushers, Daystar University, Intercountry, Lukenya Academy, Ksyumbunguo Hotel, Amazing Kenya, Small World Brava Juices, and adjacent customers will experience power outages.
West Pokot (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Areas including Makutano, Kapenguria, Kesogon, Murkwijit, Lelan, Kapkoris, Chepareria, and adjacent customers will be affected.
Uasin Gishu (8:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Kampi Kuku, Kamoret, Jua Kali Market, Cemtech (Simba Cement) Factory, parts of Oloo Street, Siro Properties, Sokoni, Sugarland Plaza, and adjacent customers will have power cuts.
Kisumu (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Affected areas include Thurgem, Sondu, Nyabondo, Sigoti, Katito, Ahero, Kochogo, Awasi, parts of Miwani, Katolo, Nyakwere, Kolweny, and adjacent customers.
Kakamega (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Areas including MMUST, Kefinco Safaricom, Daisy Academy, Oxygen Plant Kefinco, Kefinco Residence, and adjacent customers will be affected.
Bungoma (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Power interruptions will impact Unakwe Market, Chiliba Primary, Chiliba Market, Bumula Market, Lunao Market, Bunambobi Market, and adjacent areas.
Kiambu (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Residents in Umoja Estate, Kenya Paper, Rubis Petrol Makongeni, Rosjos Kisii Estate, Kivulini Estate, and adjacent areas will experience outages.
Kilifi (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Billionaire Resort, Malindi Navy, Tropical Village, Blue Key, Marine Park, Karima, Muyeye, Metro, Bush Baby, Mayungu, and adjacent customers will face power interruptions.
