Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced planned power interruptions in four counties on Friday, affecting several regions in Uasin Gishu, Kakamega, Meru, and Embu. The scheduled outages will allow for essential system maintenance and will take place at different times between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Uasin Gishu County
In Uasin Gishu, power will be disrupted in Moiben Centre and its surroundings, including Chebororwa and Kabomoi. The outage will begin at 10:00 AM and is expected to last until 4:00 PM. Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to make necessary arrangements to minimize inconveniences.
Kakamega County
Parts of Kakamega County will also experience power outages. Areas affected include Manyulia, Butere Market, Shiatsala, Butere Girls, Namasoli, Masaba, Manyala, and adjacent customers. The power will be turned off at different times between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM as maintenance works progress.
Meru County
In Meru County, electricity will be switched off from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, impacting a wide range of locations. Residents in Antubochiu Market, Kaundunyiri village, Thunguma, Amwamba School, Kiiji Market, Achenge, Kiurune village, Red Canteen, Amungeti Mission, Kimongoro Market, Kanuni Market, Athimba, Antuambui, Ntheroni Market, Kirindine, Athi Market, Igembe Tea Factory, Amunju, Tiira Market, Ugoti Market, Marega Market, Rigii, Ncheme, Mbor-oga, and surrounding areas will experience disruptions.
Embu County
In Embu, power will be turned off from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Kamburu, Kiandaruma, and Kiambere. Specific locations include Kamburu, Matendeni, Gitaru, Kindaruma KenGen Camps, Kiambere Complex, Kiambere KenGen Water Intake and Treatment, Ngiiri Market, Kavuui, Katothya, Karura, Gatete, Mutindwa, Gwakarigu, and Cieria.
