The second round of the Shell Autocross Championship unfolded in spectacular fashion on Sunday at the Twisty 2 Track Circuit in Kiambu County. Motorsport fans from across the country gathered to witness the high-octane action, as 40 drivers battled for supremacy in a thrilling display of skill and speed.
The event was marked by a significant announcement from Vivo Energy Kenya’s Managing Director, Peter Murungi, who reaffirmed the company’s unwavering commitment to the 2025 Autocross Championship. Murungi emphasized that this long-term sponsorship is aimed at nurturing motorsport talent in Kenya and fostering the next generation of champions.
“We are committed to supporting the autocross, fostering its growth, and cultivating a new generation of motorsport talent. Our aim is to reignite the success of legends like Joginder Singh and Shekhar Mehta, ensuring their legacy lives on,” Murungi said.

The competition saw fierce battles across different categories, with Rajveer Thethy emerging as the standout performer. Thethy clocked an impressive 06:14 over three heats, securing the fastest time of the day in the 4WD class.
