More than 100 countries and organizations convened at a significant conference in Switzerland aimed at charting a course towards peace between Ukraine and Russia. Notably absent from the gathering was any delegation from Moscow. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky used the platform near Lucerne to rally support for his 10-point peace plan, originally proposed in late 2022. Zelensky emphasized that once the plan gains consensus among attending nations, it will be presented to Russia, paving the way for a subsequent peace summit aimed at formalizing an end to the conflict.
In his address to the conference, Zelensky underscored the inclusive nature of the peace proposal, encouraging active participation and welcoming all constructive ideas from the global community. He expressed pride in the diverse representation from all continents at the summit, emphasizing the collective effort required to achieve lasting peace in the region.
