Government Aims to Triple eCitizen Revenue, Says Immigration PS Julius Bitok

Immigration Principal Secretary Julius Bitok announced ambitious plans to triple daily revenue from the eCitizen platform. At the inauguration of the Bungoma Immigration Offices, Bitok revealed the government’s target to boost daily collections from Ksh700 million to Ksh2 billion, aiming for an annual total of Ksh1.4 trillion.

With 300,000 daily visitors to the eCitizen platform, Bitok emphasized the potential for increased revenue. He also assured that the backlog in passport issuance has been resolved, with pending applications to be processed within 14 days. To expedite this, the government has acquired two new passport printing machines.
