Government Bolsters Dairy Sector with New Meru Facility and KSh2 Billion Investment

The government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting farmers and enhancing value addition by laying the foundation stone for the Meru Maziwa Millers in Mitunguu, a facility set to process 12,000 tonnes of milk per month. President @WilliamsRuto, accompanied by CS @mithika_Linturi and Deputy President H.E. @rigathi, participated in this milestone event during the 9th Annual Dairy Farmers Field Day Celebrations at Gitoro ASK grounds in Meru County.

In addition to this infrastructure development, the government has allocated an extra KSh2 billion to strengthen the dairy sector. This funding aims to bolster dairy cooperatives, ensuring better and timely payments to farmers and improving their access to credit.
