The enhanced capacity to process ID applications has been made possible by the recent acquisition of two high-tech printers by the NRB. These printers will boost the bureau’s ability to print ID cards more efficiently, ensuring that Kenyans no longer face long delays in receiving their identification documents.
“It will now take you not more than ten working days from the date of application, down from at least 21 days, to get your ID. We want Kenyans to acquire their IDs as quickly and conveniently as possible,” Bitok said, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving service delivery. This initiative is part of a larger push to modernize Kenya’s public services, making them more responsive to the needs of citizens.
