Isaac Mwaura Meets Bradley Mtall, Pledges to Help Fast-Track His Government Documents

Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura recently met with Bradley Marongo, also known by his popular moniker “Bradley Mtall,” to assist him in acquiring essential government documents. Bradley, who gained internet fame during recent anti-government protests due to his impressive height and striking appearance, has since become a well-known figure, earning attention from local brands and business executives.

On Tuesday, Bradley paid a courtesy visit to Isaac Mwaura’s office, where it was revealed that he has not been able to acquire vital government identification documents, including a birth certificate and a national identification card (ID). During the meeting, Mwaura made a public pledge to help Bradley fast-track the process of obtaining these documents, which are critical for accessing various government services and opportunities in Kenya.

Mwaura noted that his office is committed to ensuring Bradley receives the necessary support. “This afternoon, Bradley Marongo, popularly known as Gen Z Goliath or simply ‘Bradley Mtall’, paid a courtesy visit to the office of Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura,” read a statement from the spokesman’s office. The statement further emphasized Mwaura’s commitment to helping Bradley resolve the issue of lacking basic identification documents.

The spokesman assured Bradley that he will personally accompany him to meet Julius Bitok, Principal Secretary of Immigration and Citizen Services, to expedite the acquisition of his birth certificate and ID card. This effort is part of a broader government initiative aimed at improving access to identification documents for all Kenyans, ensuring that citizens can obtain these documents more quickly and efficiently.

A Promising New System for Faster Document Issuance

The government has been actively working on reducing the time it takes for citizens to receive ID cards, with the goal of making the process more convenient and less time-consuming. Starting next month, Kenyans will be able to receive their ID cards within 10 days of application, a significant improvement from the current wait time of at least 21 days.

Principal Secretary Bitok recently affirmed the government’s commitment to this reform during a public announcement on Monday. According to Bitok, the shorter waiting period will be achieved through the introduction of live capture equipment, which will be deployed across Huduma Centres and National Registration Bureau (NRB) offices nationwide. This new technology will streamline the data capture process, speeding up the overall issuance of ID cards.

The enhanced capacity to process ID applications has been made possible by the recent acquisition of two high-tech printers by the NRB. These printers will boost the bureau’s ability to print ID cards more efficiently, ensuring that Kenyans no longer face long delays in receiving their identification documents.

“It will now take you not more than ten working days from the date of application, down from at least 21 days, to get your ID. We want Kenyans to acquire their IDs as quickly and conveniently as possible,” Bitok said, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving service delivery. This initiative is part of a larger push to modernize Kenya’s public services, making them more responsive to the needs of citizens.

Bradley Mtall’s Rising Influence

Bradley Marongo’s rapid rise to fame began during anti-government protests, where his extraordinary height set him apart from the crowd. His unique appearance quickly made him an internet sensation, earning him the nickname “Gen Z Goliath.” As his social media following grew, Bradley began to attract attention from various companies, reportedly securing endorsement deals with local brands.

Despite his newfound popularity, Bradley’s lack of essential government documents has posed a challenge in navigating formal opportunities. The fast-tracking of his birth certificate and ID card will likely open more doors for him, both in his personal life and his burgeoning career. His meeting with Isaac Mwaura and the subsequent intervention to expedite his documentation underscores the importance of having proper identification in Kenya.

The government’s ongoing efforts to improve access to these documents reflect a broader goal of ensuring that all Kenyans can benefit from streamlined public services. As Bradley Mtall’s story continues to unfold, it serves as a reminder of the impact that government reforms can have on individual lives, helping citizens access the opportunities they need to succeed.
