Actress Jackie Matubia transformed her backyard into a stunning Moana-themed paradise for her daughter Zendaya Nyambura’s birthday celebration. By collaborating with a local events company, Matubia ensured every detail was perfect, creating a vibrant and enchanting atmosphere.
The decision to host the party was driven by Matubia’s firstborn daughter, Zari Wanjiku. “She asked me to throw a party for Zendaya instead of going on vacation,” Matubia shared, highlighting the close bond between the sisters and her dedication to fulfilling their wishes.
During the celebration, Matubia opened up about the challenges of raising Zendaya alone after her split from baby daddy Blessing Lung’aho. “It has been a journey raising this child all by myself… it is painful… she is my lastborn,” she revealed, showcasing her resilience as a single mother.
Matubia also expressed her pride and joy on Instagram, sharing adorable photos of Zendaya along with a heartfelt message:
“To my lovely Daughter Zendaya Nyambura, the one that made me a mum again, Kitinda mimba, Raising you ever since you were born till now has been a delight… For you, it was different and very painful doing it by myself 100% but God has shown up and out for us, and as you turn 2 may what God has aligned for you in your life come to pass… You are a Star … May Nations call you blessed.”
Reflecting on her past relationships, Matubia and Blessing Lung’aho’s romance went public on February 14, 2022, with an engagement following in April. However, the relationship was short-lived. Shortly after Zendaya’s birth, Matubia announced she was raising her children alone. She revealed that while she communicates with her first baby daddy, Captain Kennedy Njogu, Lung’aho has been unresponsive.
Despite the hardships, Matubia continues to provide a loving and nurturing environment for her daughters, celebrating their milestones with dedication and joy. The Moana-themed party stands as a testament to her unwavering love and commitment to her children.
