Kakamega County to Host 2025 FEASSSA Games

Kakamega County has been officially announced as the host for the 2025 Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) Games. The confirmation came during the closing ceremony of the 21st FEASSSA Games at Bukedea Stadium in Uganda on Monday. FEASSSA President, Mugisha, made the announcement, expressing high expectations for the upcoming event in Kenya.

The choice of Kakamega as the host city marks a significant moment for Kenyan sports, as it will be the first time since 2016 that Kenya has been entrusted with the responsibility of hosting the prestigious regional games. The 2016 edition was held in Eldoret, and it was renowned for its well-organized and competitive events. FEASSSA President Mugisha has called for meticulous preparations to ensure that the 22nd edition of the games will be a top-tier showcase of sportsmanship and organizational excellence.

“Kenya will host next year’s edition of the games, and we expect a world-class showpiece that captures the spirit of the competitions,” Mugisha stated. “Kenya always produces a masterclass whenever they are tasked to host the games, and we look forward to the same experience next year.”

The FEASSSA Games, which bring together secondary school athletes from across East Africa, are celebrated for their high level of competition and the spirit of unity they foster among the participating nations. The games provide a platform for young athletes to display their talents and build international sports networks.
