Henry Kamau, a member of the home club, emerged victorious in both the gross and Division A nett categories at the May Mug Golf tournament. The event, held on Saturday at the par 71 Sea-link Mombasa Golf Course, saw Kamau dominate the competition in a field of 100 golfers.
Kamau, playing off a zero handicap, delivered a stunning performance, carding an impressive 71 gross and matching it with a 71 nett. His remarkable consistency and control throughout the day-long tournament solidified his reputation as one of the top golfers in the region.
“I played well with my golf ball going the right way and did my best in putting. It’s great being the best golfer today, but I shall continue training more in preparation for the forthcoming Coast Open for the Barry Cup,” Kamau said after his double victory.
The tournament, organized by the Sea-link Mombasa Golf Club, attracted a competitive field of golfers, all vying for top honors. Despite the challenging course and intense competition, Kamau’s focused approach and superior technique set him apart from his peers.
