Detectives at the Embakasi Police Station are actively searching for two male suspects in connection with the brutal murder of a 29-year-old woman whose body was found outside a residential compound in Nairobi’s Embakasi area. An autopsy has confirmed that Naomi Wangare Mwangi was strangled and sexually assaulted before her death.
The tragic incident occurred on the night of February 18, 2025, when her lifeless body was discovered. Witnesses reported seeing two unidentified assailants forcefully restraining Naomi before strangling and assaulting her as she screamed for help. By the time neighbors arrived at the scene, the perpetrators had fled into the darkness, leaving the woman’s half-naked body behind.
Authorities revealed that Naomi had received a phone call that evening, prompting her to step out of her house, leaving her 9-year-old daughter behind. When her husband returned home from work, he found her missing. Hours later, a neighbor knocked on their door, delivering the devastating news of Naomi’s murder.
Investigators have since arrested a female acquaintance of the deceased, who is suspected of luring Naomi to her assailants. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but police are intensifying their efforts to track down the two male suspects.
