Political activist Kebaso Morara has announced that his newly formed political party, Injection of National Justice, Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT), has officially joined the opposition coalition. Morara made the statement on Wednesday morning, emphasizing that the party’s mission is not to lament the country’s challenges but to actively provide solutions.
“INJECT Party has joined the opposition coalition. Our job is not to complain about this or that & him or her. Our mission is to offer solutions. To ensure that the values and principles of good governance are held in high esteem. We want justice and opportunities for the youth to live, work, and grow,” Morara stated.
Morara highlighted that INJECT is largely composed of Generation Z members who are determined to bring about meaningful change. He expressed confidence that their role in the opposition is just the beginning and that they are on the path to forming the next government.
“Gen Zs, we are the opposition now; in a short while, we will be the government. Let us walk into the room with confidence and change how things are done from the inside. As your leader, I commit to be an outstanding icon of integrity,” he affirmed.
The move to join the opposition comes after Morara was recently seen attending events hosted by prominent opposition leaders. He was present at the launch of the rebranded People’s Liberation Party (PLP), formerly Narc Kenya. He also held a private meeting with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, sparking speculation about his political alignments.
On Tuesday, Morara was part of a strategic meeting involving key opposition figures, including Martha Karua, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Rigathi Gachagua, Eugene Wamalwa (DAP-K), Jimmy Wanjigi (Safina), and Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka. The discussions reportedly centered on forming a united front to challenge President William Ruto in the 2027 elections.
INJECT Party, though yet to be registered by the Registrar of Political Parties, was born out of the Gen Z-led anti-government protests in 2024. Morara emerged as a leading voice in the protests, gaining national recognition for his bold stance against the government’s policies. His latest political move signals a new chapter in the youth-driven push for governance reform in Kenya.
