The nation is mourning the passing of Malava Constituency Member of Parliament, Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi, who died on Monday while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi. His passing was confirmed by the Clerk of the National Assembly, though an official statement was yet to be issued at the time of reporting.
Hon. Malulu Injendi had been serving as the Member of Parliament for Malava Constituency since 2013, making his tenure span three consecutive terms. He was also the Vice Chairman of the Departmental Committee on Education and Research, where he played a crucial role in shaping policies that impacted education and research sectors in the country. His dedication to public service and his unwavering commitment to his constituents earned him respect from colleagues and constituents alike.
The news of his demise has been met with an outpouring of tributes from political leaders, fellow legislators, and members of his constituency. Saboti MP Caleb Amisi expressed his condolences in a heartfelt message, saying, “Mhesh has rested. Go well, Malulu. My condolences to the family and his constituents.”
ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale described Injendi as a composed and dedicated leader, tweeting, “Hon. Injendi Malulu, a cool man. It is well.”
National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah also joined in mourning Injendi, recognizing his contributions to the development of Malava Constituency and his integrity in leadership. “It is with heartfelt sympathy that we mourn a colleague and friend, Hon.
