Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has called for an in-depth investigation into the controversial kidney transplant saga linked to Mediheal Hospital in Eldoret. Speaking during the Eldoret Pioneer DCC Women’s Conference at AIC Koilebel Church, Sudi urged government agencies to leave no stone unturned in uncovering the truth behind the alleged illegal organ trade.
Sudi expressed concern over the panic the scandal has triggered among residents of Eldoret and Kenyans at large, emphasizing the importance of a careful and transparent process to determine the facts. “We are aware that there has been one report on the kidney sale issue at Mediheal, but we urge calm and call on the government to conduct an in-depth investigation,” he said.
Highlighting the sensitive nature of the allegations, the MP called on authorities to act responsibly and ensure all individuals involved are held accountable. “The probe will reveal those involved and all relevant details. We ask Kenyans to be patient as the government works to establish the truth,” Sudi added.
Accompanied by area MCA David Kipleting, Sudi appealed to the public and media to handle the matter cautiously, avoiding sensational reporting and unverified claims. He noted that such issues, which touch on human life, require a mature and measured approach to avoid undue panic and misinformation.
In a separate address during the same event, Sudi launched a sharp attack on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, accusing him of attempting to destabilize President William Ruto’s leadership following his recent impeachment by Parliament. “We have no issue with Ruto serving one term, but the reality is, you’re already at home after we impeached you due to your misconduct,” Sudi remarked.
He dismissed Gachagua’s continued political activities as disruptive and divisive, advising him to retire from national politics. “He should focus on his village affairs—tend to his livestock or grow vegetables instead of disturbing Kenyans with his cheap and tribal politics,” Sudi stated.
Sudi’s remarks have added a fresh voice to the growing demand for accountability in the Mediheal saga, while also intensifying political tensions within Kenya Kwanza’s ranks.
