Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has reiterated his unwavering support for President William Ruto, emphasizing the need for unity and collaboration among all political leaders to ensure a just and equitable Kenya. Speaking on the recent signing of a joint framework agreement between the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Mudavadi stressed that national progress can only be achieved through inclusivity and teamwork.
Mudavadi highlighted that while political ideologies may differ, the greater goal remains the prosperity and stability of Kenya. He called for an end to political divisions that hinder development, urging leaders to focus on shared objectives that uplift all citizens. He affirmed his active involvement in the ongoing political discussions, dismissing rumors suggesting otherwise.
“I want to make it known that Musalia Mudavadi is at the core of what has happened today at KICC. Those spreading falsehoods, rumors, and propaganda that I did not attend the event have no idea that on Friday morning, I was at the Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary Group meeting, where I rubber-stamped the process. I am fully involved,” he said.
The Prime CS further emphasized the importance of equitable resource distribution, ensuring that no region is left behind in development initiatives. He commended President Ruto’s vision, which he believes is centered on transformation and economic growth, calling on Kenyans to rally behind the government’s agenda.
“In leadership, there are certain things you cannot fulfill or achieve alone. As a government, there are agendas that we must pull together with the opposition for us to succeed and for Kenyans to move forward as a united people. This pact should be termed as a game-changer since the opposition, in their oversight role, also needs the government for certain aspects to move,” Mudavadi explained.
He also dismissed claims that the agreement is merely a power-sharing deal, urging Kenyans to focus on the broader objective of national progress. According to Mudavadi, the government remains committed to addressing key issues such as economic stability, agriculture, education, healthcare, and national security.
He praised President Ruto for extending an olive branch to the opposition, particularly in supporting Raila Odinga’s bid for the AU Chairmanship. “This is leadership beyond political rivalry. It shows the desire to walk together for the greater good of Kenya,” he said.
Mudavadi’s remarks underscore the importance of political unity in fostering national growth and stability.
