Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has paid tribute to the late Malava Member of Parliament, Malulu Injendi, hailing him as a steadfast, visionary, and respectful leader who served his constituents with unwavering dedication.
Mudavadi, while visiting the bereaved family at their South C residence in Nairobi, described Malulu as a man of honor, a dependable colleague, and a brother. He acknowledged Malulu’s significant contributions to the development of Malava and Kenya at large, emphasizing his role in fostering unity and advancing initiatives aimed at improving lives.
“Malulu was a man of his word. When he committed to something, he stood by it. If he said yes, that remained his stand, and if he said no, he had spoken his mind,” Mudavadi remarked. He further noted that Malulu’s strong-willed nature and charisma made him an admirable figure in Kenyan politics.
Earlier in the day, Mudavadi visited the Lee Funeral Home, where he paid his last respects to the departed legislator. Reflecting on their long-standing friendship, Mudavadi shared how Malulu played a crucial role in strengthening his bond with the people of Malava.
“My partnership with the people of Malava was very solid through Malulu. He was resolute and charismatic, and I deeply respected him for that. I want to assure his family and the people of Malava that we shall remain united and peaceful, continuing to support one another as we always have,” he stated.
Mudavadi urged Kenyans to respect the late MP’s legacy and his family during this difficult time, emphasizing the importance of unity and maintaining the values that Malulu upheld.
The late MP, who served as the Vice Chairman of the Education Committee in the National Assembly, passed away on Monday after a short illness. He was an instrumental figure in advocating for educational reforms and policies beneficial to learners across the country.
Malulu Injendi will be laid to rest on March 4, 2025, in his home constituency of Malava. His passing marks a significant loss to the region and the nation, with leaders and constituents alike mourning a man remembered for his firm leadership, integrity, and service to the people.
As Malava and the country at large bid farewell to a dedicated public servant, his legacy remains a beacon of inspiration for future leaders in Kenya.
