Meanwhile, in Nyamutambe village, Narok County, a 56-year-old man, Mosambi Rioba, was strangled to death by an assailant known to him. The attack happened on his farm, and his body was only discovered much later. Authorities suspect a land dispute as the cause of the murder. The suspect fled the scene, and police are pursuing leads to bring him to justice.
In another disturbing incident in Jomvu, Mombasa County, a man died after being struck on the head during a fight with a friend. Police reported that the deceased suffered multiple injuries, including head trauma and wounds on his ribs. His body was recovered and moved to the mortuary as investigations continue. No arrests have been made in connection to the attack.
Similarly, in Turbo, Uasin Gishu County, the body of 40-year-old Kennedy Odhiambo was found lying on a fence in Kapkorio village. He had suffered a deep cut wound on his right ear. At the scene, police recovered a bloodstained stone and a red motorcycle. The body was taken to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue for an autopsy. In Marereni, Magarini, Kilifi County, an act of mob justice claimed the life of 35-year-old Ngowa Kenga. He was lynched after allegedly attacking his brother with a panga during a domestic dispute. His injured brother was rushed to the hospital in stable condition. Authorities have launched investigations into the lynching and the initial attack.
The surge in these violent crimes has raised concerns over domestic and interpersonal conflicts escalating into deadly altercations. Police are urging communities to resolve disputes amicably and report threats to prevent further loss of life.
